Child Development Corps AA Program
The Corps AA Degree Program encourages and assists ECE providers to develop the skills and knowledge to create and maintain quality ECE environments. The Program provides incentives and individual support for community college students working towards an AA degree in early care and education or working to obtain their core training in ECE.
Basic Eligibility:
- You currently work at least 15 hours per week with children birth to pre-kindergarten or in an eligible AB212 school-age program in Alameda County
- You have worked at the same program for at least 9 months at time of enrollment
- You have at least 6 ECE units and a valid Child Development Permit. If you have less than 6 ECE units, a permit is not required.
- You do NOT have an AA degree (or equivalent) in ECE or a related field
How to Participate:
The Corps AA Degree Program is offered at Chabot, Las Positas, Merritt and Ohlone Colleges.
