Cultural Access Services (CAS) enables all families in Alameda County, regardless of their cultural or linguistic background, to receive quality services from Every Child Counts. CAS provides outreach, interpretation, translation services, training and technical assistance to support families and providers from various language and cultural backgrounds to access Every Child Counts services.

Interpretation Services
First 5 Alameda County provides interpretation services for all of our contractors. If you are a contractor with First 5 Alameda County and need an interpreter, contact Ann Chun at 510.875.2421.

Interpretation Equipment
First 5 Alameda County makes interpretation equipment available to the community at no cost to make sure that the valuable services community agencies provide can be accessed by those who have language barriers.

Due to the demand for the equipment, our first priority is to our contractors and partners. Please complete the Interpretation Equipment Rental Form and fax the form to Ann Chun at 510.875.2410. We recommend that you call Ann Chun before filling out the form to make sure that the equipment is available on the date(s) that you need them.
